Yesterday, Sony has officially unveiled their latest flagship camera w/ 24.2 MP APS-C sensor in the Philippines, the A6500.

The Sony A6500 has the worlds fastest AF acquisition time. The new A6500 features 435 phase detection AF points which is the highest number of AF points on any interchangeable lens camera in the world.
It can shoot up to 11 frames per s econd via continuous autofocus and and exposure tracking and up to 8 frames per second in a live-view shooting mode. This camera also has the ability to combine all the benefits of an electronic viewfinder with the immediacy of an optical viewfinder.
For high speed, it can shoot up to 307 frames using its expanded buffer with very fast response time. Theyre achieved with the support of a new front-end LSI chip that has been added to the ca mera. This new front-end LSI also serves to enhance both still and video image quality.
It also has a 5-axis OIS for stabilization even in challenging light conditions, touch screen functionality for focus and framing, latest interchangeable lens camera to offer internal 4K video recording, XAVC S codec which records at a high bit rate of up t o 100 Mbps during 4K recording and 50 Mbps during Full HD (for 4x , and Slow and Quick mode (for slow motion).
The body is made out of magnesium alloy material for better durability, 3 inch 921.6k-dot tilting LCD touchscreen, 2.4M-dot XGA OLED viewf inder, and has has WIFi, QR, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.
The new Sony A6500 interchangeable lens camera is available in the Philippines for PHP 81,999 (body only).
