According to a recent report by Notebook Italia, Asus will reveal a new budget smartphone at the MWC 2017 by the end of this month. The leaked imaged showed that it is the ZenFone 3 Go, the successor to the popular ZenFone Go line.
A budget selfie centric phone from Asus? |
The source claimed that the handset will be packed with a colorful "slim metal-like" build, 5 inch HD IPS screen, 64 bit Snapdragon 410 quad core processor and 2 GB RAM. Itll also feature a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front facing camera.
The 5 MP front facing camera might load with a large 1.4 um pixels and Soft LED flash for brighter selfies even in the dark. We could see the same implementation found with the Vivo V5 and V5 Plus.
Another interesting aspect of the said upcoming handset is itll feature a Five-Magnet Speaker w/ smart amp for louder and clearer audio reproduction.
The device is said to retail with a price tag that starts at USD 160 only. If converted directly to Philippine Peso, the Asus ZenFone 3 Go will retail at around PHP 8K.
If Asus Philippine will launch it here, well hope for a lower SRP or itll have a hard time facing most of the current competition in the same price range with much better specs.
Stay tuned for more updates!
