ZTE today announced two new variants of Blade V8 smartphone at MWC in Barcelona â"the dual camera toting Blade V8 Mini and the budget Blade V8 Lite â" running Android Nougat and has rear-mounted fingerprint scanner of locking and unlocking the phones.
The ZTE Blade V8 Mini features 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage which can be expanded via microSD card.
The main highlight is the the dual camera systemâ" one with 13MP sensor for capturing image, and one 2MP sensor to collect depth information for Bokeh mode to take photos with a blurry background. On the front, theres 5MP camaera accompanied by LED flash, to offer quality-selfies in low-lights. It is fueled by 2800mAh battery.
The ZTE Blade V8 Lite, on the other hand has a slightly smaller 5-inch Full HD display, MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. It does not get the dual-cameras, instead a single 8MP camera sits at the back, and 5MP selfie snapper on the front. A 2500m Ah battery runs the show.
Both come with the usual suite of connectivity â" dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB port and GPS.
The ZTE Blade V8 Mini and Blade V8 Lite will release across European markets this Spring. Pricing is yet to be announced.
