ZTE at MWC 2017 in Barcelona, showed off the Gigabit Phone, which it claims to be the worlds first smartphone to deliver download speeds of 1Gbps, thanks to support for 5G mobile network internet service. The Chinese device maker touts the phone as "a forward-looking 5uper Generation smartphone".
The Gigabit Phone is powered by Snapdragon 835 process or with an integrated Snapdragon X16 LTE modem, which utilizes a combination of carrier aggregation, 4Ã4 MIMO antenna technology, and 256-QAM modulation to achieve LTE download speeds that are up to 10x faster than first generation LTE devices.
