Motorola at its MWC event in Barcelona has officially unveiled the Moto G5 Family with a premium design. Unlike previous Moto G series phone, the new Moto G5 family sports metal body, instead of plastic. More over, in the older Moto G4 family, only the Plus model had fingerprint sensor, but now both the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus gets fingerprint sensor. Both will also boot Googles latest Android Nougat and have water repellent coated body for surviving light splashes.
The Moto G5 features 5-inch Full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor and will be offered in multiple variants featuring 2GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB storage. For photography, it gets 13MP f/2.0 PDAF rear camera and 5MP front camera, and a 2800mAh battery runs the show.
The Moto G5 Plus on the other hand comes with a slightly bigger 5.2-inch Full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor. The storage option and RAM option are same as the Moto G5. The Camera department includes 12MP f/1.7 dual auto-focus rear camera and 5MP front camera. It will be fueled by 3000mAh battery.
Connectivity options on both include dual-SIM slots, microSD card slot, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC.
The Moto G5 is priced at 199 Euro for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant and will available across Europe and Latin America starting in March, while the Moto G5 Plus is priced at $229 for the 2GB RAM/32GB model, and $279 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model.
