Asus loves mobile photography, the main reason why the company decided to level-up their game several notches higher by announcing the ZenFone 3 Zoom. Its their first dual camera powered handset paired with capable specs and HUGE 5,000 mAh of battery capacity.
Lets check what its pair of main cameras can do! |

Speaking of those cameras, Asus boast one of the most impressive dual main camera spec sheet on paper. It has a 12 MP f/1.7 Sony IMX362 w/ 25 mm wide angle lens paired with another 12 MP Sony f/2.8 w/ 56 mm lens for 2.3x optical zoom w/ Tri-tech AF, 4 Axis OIS, 3 Axis EIS, 4K video recording and dual tone LED flash.
To keep it simple, that camera tech is designed to capture clear and sharp mobile photographs even on lowlight due to its bright f/1.7 lens. Then due to its dual cam setup, it can create impressive bokeh / depth of field even without the need of software tricks and can do optical "real lossless" zoom up to 2.3x magnification.
Earlier, we were finally able to grab our review unit, so to continue our tradition, well share with you the first snaps we got from this new phone. Have a look!

Selfie beautify level 3 |
So far we think that the photos we got in daylight are rich in colors (well-saturated) and highly detailed. Lowlight performance is okayish (mostly) too where details are plenty and has nice dynamic range for a phone. The selfie camera look fair on first try as well!
We are impressed, but well test its performance further. Were excited to try its manual and other other modes soon.
Stay tuned for our full report!
